Welcome to our website.
The Autism Parents Association (APA) is an​ official non-profit voluntary organisation (VO802), designed to help and facilitate families with children who have autism.
APA has been set up, by parents of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). We currently have over 450 official family membersin the association all of whom are parents/guardians of children with the spectrum of autism. There are over 1,000 individual members on our private ‘Autism Parents Association Support Group’ on Facebook (more information below).
The aims of the Association are to create awareness in our local society, since autism is a condition which is not visible and the number of children being diagnosed with autism is on the increase year on year. Unfortunately, parents pass through lots of hardships primarily to obtain diagnosis, to identify the needs of their children and to find support.
As an Association, and as highlighted in our "Statute", we wish to communicate opportunities, information seminars and social activities held locally and internationally either by ourselves or by other entities. This website and our Facebook page AutismParentsAssociation will keep you up to date with our activities, our mission statement, current information and most of all, share our experiences.
In addition, APA has a private Facebook support group for parents/primary carers/guardians (parents) and adult siblings of autistic individuals. This safe space is where parents can ask questions, share concerns, and communicate successes.

Membership fee is €10 per year and can be paid directly to our Bank Accounts via direct banking. Upon receipt of the membership fee and the online application form we will send you a receipt, your membership number and additional information.
