MCVS's aim is to support the development of a more effective and efficient voluntary and community sector in Malta and Gozo through the delivery of a range of support and capacity building services including information, advice and training. We also aim to support the development of a more influential and cohesive voluntary and community sector in Malta and Gozo by facilitating networking and partnership within the sector, and between the same sector and the private and public sectors.
Agenzija Zghazagh was established in February 2011 to promote the interests of young people and to provide assistance to youth organisations and young people in achieving their potential.
The aim in establishing Agenzija Zghazagh is to mainstream youth related issues and further develop youth services. It enables further investment in young people and helps them realise their potential.
The Malta Community Chest Fund is a charitable foundation, regulated by the civil code, under the auspices of The President of Malta. The aim of the institution is to help philanthropic institutions and more importantly, the individuals with different needs. The Fund does not receive any funds from the Government. However, throughout the year, various activities such as balls and concerts are organised by the Fund and also by the Office of The President to raise funds. The Malta Community Chest Fund also relies on the generosity of corporate companies and the general public for the collection of money.
On the 22nd April 2015, the Malta Community Chest Fund became a foundation. This was one of the main wishes of Her Excellency Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, with one of the main aims being that the operations of the Malta Community Chest Fund will gain more visibility whilst being highly scrutinised. The St Jeanne Antide Foundation is a registered social purpose non-profit organisation. It is the social care services arm of the Sisters of Charity.
